Police used force to disperse the protesting farmers


The Islamabad police used tear gas and water cannon to disperse the protesting farmers at D chowk in Islamabad. Police also arrested 20 farmers on the allegation of pelting stones at police. The police used tear gas and water cannon to stop the farmers from marching towards Jinnah Avenue.

Pakistan Kissan Ittehad organised the protest to force the government to fulfill its promises in the upcoming budget. The farmers are angry that the government is not taking the necessary steps to solve their problems.
