The levies force opened fire at the angry protesters in Dargai area of Malakand in KPK province. Two people were killed and nearly one dozen injured in this clash between levies, police and protesters. The angry protesters entered the offices of PESCO and ransacked the offices. The levies force opened fire to control the angry protesters. They were agitating against the long hours of load shedding.
The local administration has called in the army to control the situation. The people are coming out on the streets daily in different areas of the KPK province to protest the long hours of power failures in the unbearable hot weather.
