Lahore Anarkali bazar blast - at least 3 killed and 27 injured

 Rescue operation completed- injured shifted to Mayo hospital

According to the Deputy Commissioner Lahore Umer Sher Chatha and rescue 1122 officials, at least three people have been killed and 27 injured in a blast in Lahore's Anarkali bazar. The injured has been shifted to Mayo hospital for emergency aid and treatment. The government has declared emergency in the mayo hospital to ensure best available medical facilities to the injured. 

The blast took place in the motor cycle parking area of Pan Mandi, Anarkali bazar. The Bomb Disposal Squad is ascertaining the cause of blast. Anarkali bazar is one of the busiest shopping market in Lahore where thousands of people visit every day. 

Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has taken notice of the incident and directed the inspector general of police to submit a report in this regard. He also directed officials to provide the injured with the best possible medical facilities.

Shortly after the incident occurred, Lahore deputy commissioner (DC) Umer Sher Chatha directed the civil defence officer to deploy a bomb disposal squad to the area and said that a complete and thorough sweep of the area should be conducted.
