President Arif Alvi dissolved the National Assembly on the advise of PM Imran Khan

 President acted on the advise of PM Imran Khan to dissolve the National Assembly  

President Arif Alvi has approved the dissolution of the National Assembly following advice from Prime Minister Imran Khan. The president house has issued a press release in this regard. This step was taken after the government lost majority in the National Assembly. 

Prime Minister Imran Khan earlier in his address to the nation said that he had sent a summary to the President for the dissolution of the assemblies and also called upon the public to get ready for the new elections.

The president approved the prime minister’s advice and dissolved the National Assembly. Meanwhile, the federal cabinet also stands dissolved but the prime minister will continue his constitutional duties.
