Sri Lanka defeated Australia by an innings and 39 runs to level the series 1-1

Left arm spinner Prabath Jayasuriya  took 12 wickets on debut and destroy the Australian batting

Sri Lankan cricket team stunned Australia in the second test match at Galle as it won the match by an innings and 39 runs. Australia bundled out at 151 in the second innings as no batsman could put up resistance against brilliant spin bowling by Sri Lankan bowlers.  Left arm off spinner Prabath Jayasuriya was a real hero who took 6 for 59 runs in the 2nd innings which destroyed the Australian batting. He took 12 wickets for 177 runs in his first test match. He has become the fifth test player to claim 12 wickets on his debut. 

Sri Lanka scored big total of 554 with the help of  brilliant nock of 206 by Chandimal. Australia bowled out at 364. Steve Smith scored brilliant 145 runs in the first innings. Australian batting collapsed in the second innings and all out at 151 runs.  Australia won the first test match and was hoping to win the series. But Sri Lankan team made a strong come back in the second test match and outclassed the Australians in both bowling and batting.
