Electricity consumers will be burdened with Rs9.90 per unit in August bills

NEPRA approved Rs9.90 per unit increase for monthly fuel adjustment charges  

The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) has approved an increase of Rs9.90 per unit on account of monthly fuel charges adjustment (FCA) for power distribution companies. In a statement, Nepra said the Central Power Purchasing Agency-Guarantee (CPPA-G) had requested an increase of Rs9.9 per unit. 

The consumers already struggling to pay the rising cost of electricity. It is becoming extremely difficult for the working people to pay their monthly electricity bills. The government continues to increase tariff on the name of monthly fuel adjustment charges.  

The consumers are paying billions of rupees extra everything. The people are paying the heavy price of mismanagement in the power sector. Pakistan needs to reform the power sector to provide relief to masses.
