England defeated Pakistan to lift the ICCT20 world cup trophy

 England chased down 138 runs target set by Pakistan  in the final of T20 world cup at MCG

England wins the ICC T20 world cup for the second time at MCG. England defeated Pakistan in the final by 5 wickets. Sam Curran and Ben Stokes were the real heroes for England. Sam Curran took 3 for 12 in 4 overs while Stokes finished the match with his 52 fighting runs. England has become the only team to win both the 50 overs and 20 overs world cup at the same time. England now becomes 50 and 20 overs world champions. 

Pakistan scored 137 runs in 20 overs on a slow MCG wicket. Shan Masoud was top scorer with 38 runs while Babar Azam scored 32 runs. No other batsman could manage to score runs against brilliant English bowling. Pakistan lost wickets at regular interval and failed to give England a fighting target to chase. Adil Rashid took 2 wickets for 22runs in 4 overs. Pakistan was looking to score around 160 runs after 15 overs but lost too many wickets in the last 5 overs.  

Over all, England played better cricket to win the ICC T20 world cup. Pakistan failed to repeat history at MCG. In 1992, Pakistan defeated  England in the final of the 50 overs world cup at the MCG. But this time England took revenge of 1992 world cup. 

Pakistani bowlers fought really hard but Stoke stood like a wall and finish the match for England. England lost 2 wickets in the power play but continue to score runs at required pace.
