Mistake by Nigerian airforce killed 100 people

One hunderd people paid the price of a mistake made by a Nigerian air force jet. The air force jet bombed a civilian refugee camp in Borno State near Cameroon border. The pilot mistaken camp for a hide out of Boko Haram fighters. The bombing also injured many volunteers of Doctors Without Borders and Red cross.

The airforce jet was on a mission to target the Boko Haram fighters. The Nigerian military for the very first time accepted the mistake for killing the civilians. Normally Nigerian military denied such mistakes. The Boko Haram is involved in terrorist activities in North Nigeria to establish an Islamic State in Nigeria. Half of the Nigerian population is Muslims. Often the civilians become target of both Boko Haram and government forces.
