UAE mourns the death of five diplomats killed in Afghanistan


The government and people in UAE mourning the killing of five diplomats in a bomb attack in the southern Afghan city of Kandahar. The UAE ambassador to Afghanistan also got injured in the attack. The attackers targeted the guest house of provincial governor of Kandahar. He also injured in the attack.

The diplomats were in Kandahar to lay the foundation stone of Dar Khalifa bin Zyed orphanage. The local Afghan officials accused Afghan Taliban and Haqani Network for this attack. But Afghan Taliban deny this claim and refused to accept the responsibility of this attack.

The violence has increased in last few months as armed groups including Taliban attacking government buildings and Afghan officials in capital Kabul and other cities. Afghan government as usual pointing finger at Pakistan for these attacks. The matter of fact is that Afghan government accuses Pakistan to hide the fact that Afghan forces failed to defeat Afghan Taliban and other extremists forces. The Afghan government put blame on Pakistan to hide the inability and inefficiency of its forces. The Afghan government has no control over large territory and different terrorist groups freely operates in these areas.

The blame game is not going to solve the problem in Afghanistan. It will not help to bring peace in this war torn country.
