The members of Writers Guild of America decided to strike if negotiations failed

The 96.3% members of the Writers Guild of America voted in favour of the strike action if the negotiations for a new contract fails. The overwhelming majority of the members that cast their ballots authorise their leaders to take strike action when needed. The Guild has around 13000 members and 67.5% cast their ballots. The tun out was historic high as they are looking for a new contract on better conditions.

A possible strike would have widespread repercussions throughout the Film and T.V industry.
