China rejected the concerns of UN body on CPEC

The Chinese foreign ministry has rejected the concerns of UN' s Economic and Social Commission for Asia Pacific (ESCAP) on CPEC. The UN body warned that CPEC can increase tension between India and Pakistan. The report also mentioned that CPEC projects will increase political instability in the region.

Chinese foreign ministry once again made it clear that CPEC is an economic development project and it will not affect our position regarding the issue of Jammu and Kashmir. CPEC is part of One Belt One Road project and UN is our partner in this project.
