Prime Minister Abbasi announced 25 billion development project for Karachi


Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi announced development package of 25 billion for Karachi. He announced this package in his maiden visit to the largest city in the country.   

“Soon work on the 25 billion-development package would start under the supervision of Sindh governor,’ he told journalists.

The prime minister also announced Rs5 billion for various development schemes in Hyderabad.

PM Abbasi also held meetings with DG Rangers, Core Commander Karachi and chief minister Sindh during his stay in Karachi. The meeting decided to continue the targeted operations in Karachi. Rangers would continue its job in the port city as the law and order would be improved further, he said.  

Speaking about problems being faced by traders, the prime minister said that their difficulties would be resolved on priority basis.

Talking about the support the MQM-P had extended to him during his election as PM, Abbasi said the party had given him unconditional support.

He denied that Farooq Sattar had put any condition or demand for extending support to him in the parliament.

He said that MQM-P was a political party and within the legal limits all the genuine problems of the party would be addressed.

About the ex-PM’s homecoming rally, Abbasi said that the former prime minister was going to his home and he was not against any institution.

Nawaz Sharif is and would remain leader of PML-N, he said.
