PTI government-Poor performance is the real threat

Poor performance is the real threat faced by PTI government

Even though-PM Imran Khan has said in his public speeches that mafias in the country are opposing and resisting his government. he also accuses opposition parties for hatching conspiracies against his government. He even said that JUI-F Chief  Maulana Fazal Ur Rehman must be tried under article 06 of the constitution for organising a sit-in in Islamabad few months back.

Despite the different claims of the PM and other senior ministers- the opposition is not posing any serious threats to this government. the opposition is weak and stands divided. It has so far failed to pose serious challenge to PTI government. It failed to mobilise its supporters and working masses in big numbers against the government.
The real threat faced by the government is not the opposition forces and mafias but the poor performance of PTI government. This government has failed to impress its performance so far.
The real crisis faced by the PTI government is poor performance. The performance of the PTI government has so far been failed to match its promises made during the election campaign in 2018. Not a single promise fulfilled so far. No serious reform initiated in any sector to improve the governance so far.

The poor performance is the real threat for the PTI government as it failed to deliver its promises. PM Imran Khan made promises before the July 25-2018 general elections to provide 2 million jobs every year and to build one million homes every year. He promised to give 10 million jobs and 5 million homes in his five years of government. He also promised to bring down prices and to reduce poverty.
In the first 18 months of his government- PM Imran Khan has made nearly 2 million people unemployed. More than 14 million people have fallen under the poverty line. The inflation has arisen to 14.5% and food inflation at 24.8%. The loans continue to rise without any check from the government.
There were high hopes that PTI will perform better and will try to solve the problems and issues faced by the masses. But its performance in first 18 months has disappointed many. No real effort been made to improve the governance.
As the result of flawed economic policies-IMF conditionalities and bad governance- the economic growth has slowed to 2.4%. There are serious concerns that it might fall under 2%. The production of large scale manufacturing industries has already dropped. The agriculture is facing serious crisis. There will be no jobs-economic opportunities and prosperity without achieving the high growth rate.
The business confidence has been shattered by the economic policies and performance of PTI government. The cuts and austerity measures have significantly reduced the public consumption and development activities.
PM Imran Khan promised to reform the police and to make it accountable before the citizens. No serious reforms have been initiated to change the “Thana Culture.” The abusive-repressive and exploitative police system is still fully intact.
The performance of PTI government is not satisfactory but instead rather poor. The high inflation and rising unemployment and poverty are posing serious threat to the PTI government. It is not the opposition but the poor performance of PTI which poses the serious and real threat to PTI government.
Without improving its performance-PTI government will continue facing pressure from the masses to deliver. The success or failure of Imran Khan’s government depends on its performance and especially on its economic performance.

The life has become unbearable for the masses under PTI government. The masses are finding it really hard to pay electricity-gas and other utility bills- rents of houses and fees of their children. It is becoming increasingly difficult for overwhelming majority of workers to feed their families and to afford basic needs of their children.
The anger is increasing against PTI government. This situation poses serious threat to PTI government. Any mass movement around the issues of high inflation-unemployment and poverty can create serious troubles for the government.
There were high hopes that PTI will perform better and will try to solve the problems and issues faced by the masses. But its performance in first 18 months has disappointed many. No real effort been made to improve the governance.

The PTI government is lucky that its opposition is not seems serious to mobilise their own supporters and masses on the real issues faced by the people. Opposition is busy in its own survival. Opposition is not campaigning on the streets against anti-people economic policies of PTI government.
The opposition stand divided and poses no serious threat to the PTI government. Both the mainstream opposition parties are facing NAB cases and mostly focus on court cases.

The arrests and NAB cases severely affected the ability of the opposition parties to mobilise on the streets. One and half year performance of the PTI government has raised big question mark on overall capacity of the PTI government and its economic team. This Poor performance poses the real threat to Imran khan’s government.
