Biden clinch Arizona, leading in Wisconsin and Michigan-Trump leading in Georgia and Pennsylvania
Few thousand votes in these states are going to decide the the next president of America
Arizona becomes first state in the presidential elections 2020 to change hands. Trump won this state back in 2016. Biden benefited from a more diverse electorate in Arizona,
which Trump won by 3.5 percentage points in 2016. The state represents 11 of
the 270 Electoral College votes needed to win the White House. Biden now has 235 electoral votes while Trump has 213.
Biden defeated President Donald Trump in Arizona, the
Associated Press projected, becoming the first Democratic presidential
candidate to win the state since 1996.
Trump still leading in the two crucial battle ground states of Pennsylvania and Georgia. If Trump wins these two states then he will have 249 electoral college. He then still needs to win Michigan, Nevada and Wisconsin to get the magic figure of 270 electoral votes.
The margins are getting closer. Biden is leading in Nevada, Michigan and Wisconsin with narrow margins. For Biden Michigan, Wisconsin and Nevada are crucial to get the magic number of 270.
The mail in ballots are still being counted and majority of these votes are going to Democrats. These states count the in person votes first and then count the mail in ballots. Traditionally, Democrats mostly cast their ballots mail in so now they have taken lead in the Wisconsin and Michigan.
Trump was leading through out the night on the basis of election day voting.
