The main features of new local government system in Punjab

 Local government will get 30% resources from provincial budget

PTI government introduced new local government system in Punjab province in 2019. PTI provincial government dissolved the already  existing local government bodies long before completing their full term. The administrators appointed by provincial government  are running these bodies. The government appointed provincial bureaucrats as administrators. 

PTI government announced to hold new elections within a year. But no elections take place since then.
