NA-249 Karachi by-elections- PPP takes lead in the results of 100 polling stations

 PML-N candidate is trailing behind in a close race

According to the unofficial results if 100 polling stations in NA-249 karachi bypolls, PPP  candidate Qadir Khan Mandokhail is leading with 5870 votes. PML-N candidate Miftah ismail is trailing with 5179 votes. Miftah was leading in the initial results. TLP (banned) is at third spot after securing 4,603 votes. PSP chief Mustafa Kamal is at fourth position with 3175 votes. PTI candidate Amjad Afridi is at fifth place with 3165 votes so far. MQM-P is at 7th position after bagging 2636 votes. 

The  Qadir Mandokhail of PPP has emerged as surprise package. He was nowhere in the polls released couple of days before the polling. The banned outfit TLP has maintained its vote bank in the constituency. In 2018 general elections, TLP candidate secured the third position with nearly 23,789 votes. 

PTI which won the seat in 2018 has shown poorly in the bypolls. Its really embarrassing for the PTI to finish at fourth or fifth place after the final result.
