KP LG elections results- Ghuam Haqani of ANP elected chairman Tehsil Razar district Swabi

 This defeat is a big setback for powerful Tarkai family and PTI 

According to unofficial results, Ghulam Haqani of ANP has won the election for the chairman of Tehsil Razar district Swabi with the big  margin of more than 9,730 votes. Ghulam Haqani got 22,763 votes. He defeated PTI candidate Buland Iqbal who bagged 13,032 votes. This is the first unofficial but  complete result compiled so far

It is a big setback for  PTI and influential Tarkai family. PTI candidate is a uncle of sitting provincial minister Shahram Tarkai. In the 2018 general elections, PTI won all the seats of Swabi district. Speaker national assembly Asad Qaiser also belongs to Swabi district. 

Tarkai family is the main contender against ANP in this district. ANP was used to dominate this district before the rise of Tarkai family and PTI.
