Australia defeated England by 146 runs to wins the fifth and final test match at Hobart. Australia also wins the Ashes series 4-0. Australian fast bowlers Pat Cummins, Greens and Boland completely destroyed the English batting in the second innings.
They share 9 wickets among themselves. England bowled out for just 124 runs. English openers provided 68 runs stand for the first wicket but rest of the batman could manage to score 56 runs. 
English fast bowler Mark Wood give England the hope to win the first test match in a disappointing Ashes series when his excellent spell of fast bowling bundled Australia at 155 runs in the second inning. but English batting line up failed to chase down the target of 271 runs. Mark Wood took career best 6 for 37 to destroy the Australian batting line up. Broad took 3 wickets. 

Australia scored 303 runs in the first inning thanks to a brilliant hundred by Travis Head (101) and fine 74 by allrounder Green. English fast bowlers  Broad and Wood took three wickets each. English team bowled out at 188 runs and Australia took lead of 115 runs. Woakes was the top scorer with 36 runs and captain Root scored 34.  Pat Cummins took 4 for 45 and Stark 3 for 53.  Poor batting performance cost England not only Hobart test but also the ashes series 2021-22.
