Opposition submitted no -confidence motion against PM imran Khan in the national assembly

86 opposition lawmakers signed the no trust motion submitted in the national assembly secretariat 

The Opposition has submitted the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan in the National Assembly. 

A total of 86 lawmakers from the Opposition parties have signed the no-confidence motion, sources said. JUI-F's Shahida Akhtar Ali, PML-N's Khawaja Saad Rafique, Marriyum Aurangzeb, Ayaz Sadiq, Rana Sanaullah, Khawaja Saad Rafique and PPP's Naveed Qamar and Shazia Marri submitted the no-trust motion for a session to the NA Secretariat.

Opposition is claiming that opposition parties have the numbers required for the success of the no-confidence motion. The opposition is claiming to have the support of 196 to 2002 members of national assembly.   

In order to make the no-confidence motion against the prime minister successful, the joint opposition requires the support of 172 MNAs. For the success of the vote of no-confidence motion against the speaker or the deputy speaker, a simple majority of the members is required. The voting on the motion against a speaker or deputy speaker is conducted through a secret ballot whereas an open vote by division is required for the similar motion against the prime minister.

Now speaker national assembly will call the session of the assembly within a week in which opposition will table the no-confidence motion in the house.
