Only 36% Pakistanis believe that there is American conspiracy to overthrow the PTI government reveals the Gallup survey
The latest Gallup Survey has revealed that 64% Pakistanis believe that there is no American conspiracy to overthrow the PTI government. These people believe that opposition moved the motion of no-confidence against PM imran Khan due to the high inflation. For them, the main reason of fall of PTI government is price hike. The survey was conducted between April 03 to April 04.
While the
random telephonic survey by Gallup Pakistan has found 64% of Pakistanis turning
down the government’s version of a US conspiracy fueling the opposition’s no
trust move. They feel the government’s failure to resolve high inflation is the
main trigger for the opposition’s move.
Those who
rejected PTI’s narrative of international conspiracy against its government,
overwhelming majority belongs to Sindh. 74% people shared this sentiment from
Sindh, 62% from Punjab and 59% from KP.
Only 36% people believe that there is American conspiracy to overthrow the PTI government. It means that majority of people are not buying his argument about foreign conspiracy against him.
PM Imran Khan is accusing the opposition parties for siding with America to bring down the PTI government.
It is pertinent to mention here that overwhelming majority of Pakistani population consider US as a enemy country. The popular sentiments are anti American. The Gallup
survey found strong reactions over its question of the US being a friend or an
enemy to Pakistan: a predominant 72% termed the US as the country’s enemy,
while 28% described the transatlantic country as a friend.
