Balighur Rehman takes oath as Governor Punjab

 Chief Justice LHC Amir Bhatti takes oath from Governor Punjab

Former federal minister and PML-N leader Balighur Rehman took oath as governor Punjab today. Chief justice Lahore High Court (LHC) Amir Bhatti took the oath from the new governor. The oath taking ceremony takes place in Governor House Lahore in which Chief Minister Punjab Hamza Shehbaz was also present.

 President Dr Arif Alvi approved the summary sent by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for the appointment of Muhammad Balighur Rehman as governor Punjab after delaying it for weeks. The president had rejected the first summary sent by PM Shahbaz Sharif for the appointment of Balighur Rehman as Governor Punjab.

On May 22, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had sent a second summary to President Arif Alvi for the appointment of Punjab governor.
