Pakistan defeated New Zealand to reach final of T20 world cup

Pakistan defeats New Zealand by 7 wickets in the semi-final to play third final in T20 ICC World Cup

Pakistan defeated New Zealand by 7 wickets in the first semi-final of the 2022 ICC T20 world cup. With this victory, Pakistan qualifies for the final of T20 world cup for the third time. Pakistan won the ICC T 20 world cup  in 2009 at Lords. Pakistan is just one match away to lift the ICC T20 world cup trophy for the second time.
Pakistan restricted New Zealand at 152 for 4 wickets with brilliant bowling. Pakistan never allows the new Zealand batsmen  to score freely. Only Daryl Mitchel  with 53 not out and Kane Williamson 46 runs put up some resistance to the Pakistani bowlers.
Pakistan chased down the 153 runs target in the 20th over at the loss of just three wickets. Rizwan top scored with 57 runs in the Pakistani chase.
Babar Azam scored 53 runs and Haris 30 runs and played important role in the Pakistani victory.
Both Rizwan and Babar succeeded to provide 103 runs partnership for the first wicket. Both the batsman demolished the New Zealand's fast bowlers and scored freely. The match slipped from the hands of New Zealand in the first 6 overs.
Pakistan scored 55 runs in the power play. It is good sign for Pakistan that Babar Azam regained his form after a poor performance at the group stage.
Pakistan will meet either India or England in the final on November 13 at Melbourne Cricket Ground.
