Islamabad United defeated Karachi Kings by just one runs in a nail bitter. Karachi kings need two runs on the last ball but Karachi batsmen failed to score two runs and lost 7th straight game in the PSL-7. This defeat means Karachi Kings now out of the contention for play offs. Islamabad United scored 191 runs in 20 overs and set 192 runs target for kings. 
Shadab Khan was the top scorer with 34 runs while Asif Ali made 28 and Faheem Ashraf 29 to help the United to post decent total. Imad Wasim took two for 30 runs. Chasing the target of 192 runs, Karachi Kings lost 5 wickets for just 81 runs in 11 overs. 
The injury to United captain and all rounder Shadab Khan weaken the bowling of United. The poor fielding and 5 drop catches helped Kings to come back in the match. Imad Wasim and Qasim Akram led the fight back with 108 runs partnership. Both scored half centuries and getting chances from United fielders. Asif Ali took two wickets while Waqas Maqsood took three wickets and also bowled the last over in which he denied Kings their first win of the PSL-7.
