PTI cruising to victory in NA-245 Karachi by poll

 PTI extends its lead to more than 14,000 votes against nearest rival MQM-P

According to unofficial results of 205 out of total 263 polling stations of NA-245 Karachi by poll, PTI is cruising to big win. Mehmood Maulvi of PTI extends its  lead to  more than 14,000 votes. Mehmood Maulvi has bagged 22,874votes.

Contrary to expectations of a close contest, PTI is winning this seat in one sided manner. MQM-P failed to give tough time to PTI in this by poll. 

The Moeed Anwar of MQM-P is trailing behind with 8,782votes so far. TLP candidate Muhammad Ahmad Raza is at third spot with 6,748 votes. Independent candidate Dr Farooq Sattar is at fourth position with 2,238 votes so far. PSP candidate Syed Hafeezuddin just gets 895 votes. 

The turnout is around 10% in the constituency.  The turnout in this constituency was 37%in the 2018 general elections. It seems that PTI will be able to retain its seat in Karachi. A close contest was expected between PTI and MQM-P in this constituency. Dr Amir Liaqat Hussain won this seat in 2018 general elections on PTI ticket with more than 56,783 votes and defeated Dr Farooq Sattar of MQM-P who secured 35,427 votes.
