PTI takes early lead in NA-245 Karachi by poll, MQM-P is trailing behind

 Early results indicating a very low turnout in the constituency as election campaign failed to mobilise voters in big numbers

According to unofficial results of 54 polling stations of NA-245 Karachi, Mehmood Maulvi takes early lead with 4873 votes. PTI is leading with nearly 3,000 votes. The Moeed Anwar of MQM-P is trailing behind with 1789 votes so far. TLP candidate Muhammad Ahmad is at third spot with 1157 votes. Dr Farooq Sattar is at fourth position with 388 votes so far. PSP candidate Syed Hafeezuddin just gets 162 votes so far. 
Early results suggesting a very low turnout in the constituency. The political parties failed to bring out voters in big numbers.  The turnout in this constituency was 37%in the 2018 general elections. 
It seems that PTI will be able to retain its seat in Karachi. A close contest was expected between PTI and MQM-P in this constituency. Dr Amir Liaqat Hussain won this seat in 2018 general elections on PTI ticket with more than 56,783 votes and defeated Dr Farooq Sattar of MQM-P who secured 35,427 votes.
